It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Zoa LaGrange on May 7, 2025, surrounded by family at the age of 86. She was born on October 11, 1938, in Jennings, LA, to Theresia LeJeune.
Zoa was married to the love of her life, Louis G LaGrange, US Army CW2 on June 6, 1954. Together they had 6 children, Cindy Istre of Crowley, Debbie Smith (Gerald) of Mississippi, Hugh LaGrange of Ragley, Wendy Trahan (Steven) of Jennings, Linda Trahan of Lake Arthur, Lola Lege of Ruston. Zoa was a dedicated wife, mother and granny to 22 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren.
Zoa was a faithful member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jennings where she served as a Catholic daughter since 1974. Zoa lived life to the fullest camping and traveling with The Good Sam club. She enjoyed crafts, making rosaries, painting, and spending time with her family and friends.
She now rejoices in the arms of Jesus with her beloved husband Louis of 47 years.; her mother, Theresia LeJeune; Uncle Simon ”Si”, Agnes and Lawrence “B” Sonnier and Lucille Lasalle.
A gathering of friends and family will be held at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings on Monday May 12, 2025, Beginning at 9:00 a.m., and will continue until 1:00 p.m. A rosary will be held at 1:00 p.m., in the chapel and will be led by the Catholic Daughters.
Following the rosary, there will be a Mass of Christian burial at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jennings, at 2:00 p.m., with Father Anil Alexander officiating. She will be laid to rest in Estherwood Memorial Cemetery, under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Paul bearers are Robert Carter Henry Istre, Brian Trahan Jr., Rodney Istre, Matthew Trahan, Jordan Lege, Zac Carter and Gabe Lege.
The family ask that any donations be given to Immaculate Conception Catholic Daughters and Alter Society.
