Zamore Mcdowell

It is with great sadness that the family of Zamore Chadrick McDowell, announce his passing at 6 months old. He loved to laugh and play with all of his toys. He was always so full of life and joy and his memory will always hold a special place in our hearts. May you rest in peace Zamore, we love you.

Zamore was born on November 03,2025, in Lafayette, Louisiana to Keelie Arceneaux and Zamarion Mcdowell. Also left to cherish their memories of him are his maternal grandparents Adrienne (Kenneth) Arceneaux; paternal grandmother, Shaquanna Woods; maternal great grandparents, Tina (Terry) Thibodeaux and Roger (Dora) Lopez; maternal great great grandfather, Alery (Helen) Lopez; paternal great grandparents, Vertis (Miranda) Williams, Stephanie McDowell and William (Helen) Leary; his aunts, Kira Lopez, Amazia Lopez, Jakarigan Maxile, Amaya Hegger, Ja'keylan Woods; uncles, Kendal Arceneaux, Kendric Arceneaux, Dorran Dupree, Davin Dupree, Zakeydrik McDowell and Kellan Woods; great aunts, Kayla Lopez, Alyssa (Kyle) Ewing, Colette (Stuart) Daigle, Madeline Lopez and Lauren Lopez; great uncles, Donald Arceneaux and Jeffery (Quanita) Arceneaux; and godmother, Yolanda Ramsey.

Waiting to meet him at the gates of heaven are his grandfather, Chadrick Dupree; grandmother, Shirley Arceneaux; his uncles, Chadrick Dupree, Jr. and Darren Arceneaux; and his aunt, Mel Arceneaux.

A gathering of family and friends will be held Friday May 22, 2026, at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, LA, from 10:00 AM until the time of his service. A rosary will be recited in the chapel at 1:00 PM. At 2:00 PM, Pastor Jered Thomas will officiate Zamore's service, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel, reflecting on his life and the love he gave to us. He will be laid to rest in Gary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
