Wirth Koopman Borgelt

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. Wirth Bud Borgelt, 84, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 6, 2009 in the Jennings United Methodist Church with Rev. Josh Milliron officiating. Visitation in the church will be from 9:00 a.m. until time of services. Mr. Borgelts body will be cremated. Mr. Borgelt died at 8:52 a.m., Thursday, April 2, 2009 in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Lafayette. Mr. Borgelt was a resident of Jennings 11 years moving here from California. He attended the University of Illinois and was a retired citrus grower. Mr. Borgelt was a member of the Jennings United Methodist Church and the Citrus Growers Association of California. Survivors include his wife, Margaret Heft Borgelt of Jennings; one daughter, Elizabeth Arledge of Tallahassee, Fl; one son, Benjy C. Arledge and wife, Karen of Crowley; one sister, Phyllis Saper of Vista, CA; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren . He was preceded in death by his parents William and Emma Koopman Borgelt; first wife, Hallie Borgelt; and two sons, Kit and Walter Borgelt.
