William Lopez

Funeral services for Mr. William J. (Billy) Lopez, 40, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 10, 2018 in the St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Rev. William Miller officiating.

Burial will be in the Lopez Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Funeral home visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.

A rosary led by Deacon Mike Tramel will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel.

Mr. Lopez died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, August 5, 2018 in the Lake Charles Memorial Hospital.

He was a lifelong resident of Jennings and a derrick hand in the oilfield and was a very hard worker. He loved motorcycles, tattoos, helping people and his dogs. He was a very giving person. He loved being around family and friends. His children was his life

Survivors include his wife, Angela Maffit Lopez; his parents, Darrell and Jennifer Clement Lopez; five daughters, Louise Lopez of Iota, Felisha Lopez, Hannah Lopez, Gabrielle Lopez, Brooklyn Mouton all of Hathaway; four sons, Blaise Lopez and William Lopez, II both of Jennings, Dustin Doucet of Hathaway, Dakota Maffit of Lake Arthur; one sister, Michelle (Steven) LaBauve of Hathaway and his paternal grandmother, Anna Mae Lopez.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Harry and Thelma Lopez Clement and his paternal grandfather, Clyde Lopez.
