Wanda Odell Fields

Jennings A private Memorial Service for Mrs. Wanda Odell Fields, 71, will be held at a later date. Mrs. Fields wishes were to be cremated. She died August 22, 2014 at 10:05 a.m. at her residence in Basile, LA. Mrs. Fields was a native of Lufkin, TX and lived most of her life in Delcambre, LA. She worked as a cook and loved the outdoors, campfires, birds and flowers. She treasured time spent with her family. She is survived by a daughter; Laura (Eddie) Bourque of Port Barre, LA, three sons; Leon (Angela) Fields, Jr. of Erath, LA, James (Christina B) Fields of Iota, La and Bryan Fields of New Iberia, LA, two sons-in-law; Albert Galtier and Charles Bourque, a sister; Ruby Kirkpatrick of Willis, TX, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fields was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin Loyyd and Arzalla Miller Marshall, her husband, Leon Joel Fields, Sr., two daughters, Julie Ann Galtier and Betty Jo Bourque and a sister, Irene Taylor.
