Venilia Marceaux

Dec 22, 1951 — Jul 14, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Venilia "Nia" Marceaux, who left us on July 14, 2026, at the age of 74. Born on December 22, 1951, in Lake Arthur, Louisiana, Nia spent her life in Jennings, where she dedicated herself as a beloved homemaker.

Nia was married to her loving husband, Lynard Marceaux, for 56 wonderful years. Together, they created a warm and welcoming home filled with laughter and love. Nia cherished her family above all, doting on her loving son Scott, her grandsons Gavin, and Hudson Marceaux, her granddaughter Gabby (Daxton) Everage, her dear sister Margene Richard, her sister-in-law Dee (Chris) Gimenez, her three brothers-in-law, Pookie (Diane) Marceaux, Johnny (Donna) LeBlanc, and Charles Pannell, along with many nieces and nephews who will forever hold memories of her kindness and warmth.

In her free time, Nia found joy in tending to her plants and nurturing her garden. She was never far from her crochet hook and loved cooking up delicious meals to share with her family. You could often find her enjoying a cup of coffee on the porch, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the comfort of loved ones.

Cremation has been entrusted under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Though she may no longer be with us, Nia's spirit will continue to inspire and uplift all who knew her. She will be dearly missed.

Nia was preceded in death by her parents Wilbert Istre and Zora Trahan Istre, her brother Allen Istre, her dear sister Sue Bonin, her daughters Melissa and Michelle Marceaux, her brother-in-law Butch Marceaux, and her two sisters-in-law Faye Pike and Carlene Pannell.
