It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tommy Ray Forsyth, who left this life peacefully on November 2, 2025, at 8:00 p.m., at the age of 84.

Tommy was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, guardian, employer, friend, and a cherished member of his community.

Born in Dallas, Texas, and raised in Oklahoma, Tommy was cut from a cloth few men are today. A proud graduate of Capitol Hill High School's Class of 1959, he was a lifelong tinkerer with an unmatched ability to fix just about anything. Utilizing the knowledge he learned as part of his military service, he could always be counted on to keep family vehicles running and to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed.

Tommy discovered a passion for construction early in life and had a natural talent that led him to establish Tom Forsyth Construction, a stucco contracting company he owned and operated successfully for more than 60 years. His craftsmanship, integrity, and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of all who worked with him.

Before starting his business, Tommy honorably served in the United States Army for three years during the Vietnam War, where he received specialized training and served his country with pride. After returning home, fate led him to meet the love of his life, Patricia "Pat" Ruth Forsyth. The two quickly realized their hearts belonged together, and Tommy decided his time of service to his country was complete, it was time to begin building a life and family with Pat.

Together, they shared 63 wonderful years of marriage. Tommy was a family man through and through, gentle, dependable, and strong. He was Pat's steadfast supporter in all that she did. When Pat's heart led her to open their home to children in need, Tommy never hesitated. If she called to say, "Guess who's coming to dinner?", he knew they would soon be setting more places at the table and welcoming more hearts into their home. The house he built with his own hands became a place of love, laughter, and belonging for all who entered.

A true outdoorsman, Tommy loved nature and the simple joys it offered. From black powder rifle hunting and earning numerous archery awards to peaceful days fishing from his boat, the outdoors was his sanctuary. For over 30 years, he and Pat gathered their ever-growing family for cherished trips to Southeastern Oklahoma, where the kids ran freely through the woods and memories were made around campfires and lakesides. His radio was always tuned to classic country music, and he could often be heard whistling or singing along to his favorite tunes.

Tommy was also a devoted Oklahoma Sooners fan who rarely missed a game. In fact, he celebrated OU's win over Tennessee just a day before his passing, a fitting final joy for such a loyal fan.

Tommy is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Patricia Ruth Forsyth; his brother, Gerald Forsyth and wife Joyce; his children, Tammy (Forsyth) Grim and husband Clinton, Thomas E. Forsyth and wife Michelle, and Tricia R. Forsyth; his grandchildren, Meghan Grim-Zhang and husband Xin, Macy Grim-Rukab and husband Christopher, Gage Grim, Noah Moore, Etta Graham, Evie Moore, Tyler J. Forsyth and Harley Sarls, and Brittanie F. (Forsyth) Peake and husband James; and his great-grandchildren, Atlas Zhang, Emilia Zhang, and Asher Rukab.

He was also a loving guardian parent to Kyle Troxal, Shaina White, and Lyla Rice, who each held a special place in his heart.

Tommy will be remembered for his sincerity and love, his courage and compassion, and his unwavering devotion to family and friends. He was a man of quiet strength, one who believed that deeds, not words, defined a person.

Tommy Ray Forsyth was a beautiful man, may he rest in eternal peace.
