Sue Istre Bonin

LAKE ARTHUR Funeral services for Mrs. Sue Istre Bonin, 60, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 31, 2015 in the Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur with Mickey Istre officiating. Burial will be in the Andrus Cove Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Sunday; and 8:00 a.m. Monday until time of services. Mrs. Bonin died at 12:45 a.m., Friday, August 28, 2015 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur worked as a galley hand for an offshore food service. She is survived by one daughter, Monti L. Duhon and husband Dean of Jennings; companion and best friend Earnest “Punkin” Taber of Lake Arthur; two sisters, Margene Richard and husband Gate’ of Jennings, Nia Marceaux and husband Leonard of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Trey Carman, Payton and Taylor Duhon; and one great-grandchild, Hudson Duhon; and Godchildren, Julie Richard and Mickey Prichert both of Lake Arthur. Mrs. Bonin is preceded in death by her father, Wilbert Emile Istre; her mothers, Zora Trahan Istre and Astazie Trahan; one daughter, Sandi Bonin; and one brother, Allen Ray Istre.
