Steven James Doucet Jr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven James Doucet Jr., who left us on October 26, 2026, at the age of 55. Born on October 20, 1971, in Jennings, Louisiana, Steven was known for his unwavering spirit, love for life, and deep devotion to his family and friends.

A proud mechanic at Poorman's Auto and a fitter at Leevac shipyard for many years, Steven dedicated his life to his work, always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed the thrill of the casino, the serenity of hunting and fishing, and cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. Whether it was a family gathering or a quiet day on the water, he made every occasion memorable with his infectious laughter and vibrant stories.

Steven is survived by his beloved spouse, Christina Linscombe Doucet, his daughter, Kourtnee Doucet, his cherished granddaughters, Stevie and Scottie Toole, his mother, Sheila Doucet, and his sister, Maggie Touchet. He is also survived by his father-in-law, Art Linscombe, and brothers-in-law, Lester "Bubba," (June) Jody and Bobby Lee Linscombe, as well as his sister-in-law, Ashley Gary, and numerous nieces and nephews who looked up to him.

Funeral services to honor Steven will be held at Miguez Funeral Home. There will be a public viewing on October 27, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a rosary service at 6:00 pm. The funeral service will be held on October 28, 2026, at 2:00 pm, with a public viewing beginning at 8:00 am. Steven will then be laid to rest at Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Steven was preceded in death by his father, Steve Doucet, and his mother-in-law, Geraldine "DeDe" Linscombe.
