Steven Benoit, Sr

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Steven Benoit, Sr. of Lake Arthur, Louisiana, who left us on March 2, 2026, at the age of 73. Born in Jennings, LA, Steven lived a life dedicated to his family and his work as a driller in the oil and gas industry.

Steven is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Benoit, and their two sons, Steven (Lonette) Benoit and Tobias Benoit. He also leaves behind his cherished sister, Dolores Bossley (Gerald), and brother, Roger Benoit (Nancy). Steven was a proud grandfather to Grant (Jesa), Donavon (Alex), Luke (Jasmine), and Logan Benoit, and a loving great-grandfather to Kori Benoit, Eli Benoit, Tristan Chaisson, Jordan Benoit, and Esmae Benoit.

Outside of work, Steven was known for his love of playing cards, woodworking, and camping. He had a knack for making everyone feel welcome, and he never missed an opportunity to catch up on the latest news.

In honoring Steven's wishes, a cremation will be held under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.

He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him, but his spirit will always remain in their hearts.

Steven was preceded in death by: his parents, Lloyd and Mamie Broussard Benoit, and his brothers, Gerald Benoit and Larry Benoit.
