Shawn Prejean

Funeral services for Shawn J." Bayou" Prejean, 53, of Jennings will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Wayne Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Lake Arthur under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, November 4, 2024. A rosary will be recited at 1:00 p.m. before the 2:00 p.m. service.

Mr. Prejean was born on February 25, 1971, in Crowley to Thomas Joseph Prejean and Brenda Faye Moore. He worked as a heavy equipment operator with the Department of Transportation.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tiffaney Vincent Prejean; daughter, Harlie Guidry; sons, Shawn Prejean, Jr., Ethan Vincent, Dylan Vincent; mother, Brenda Faye Moore; sister, Angie Richard; brothers, Shane Prejean, Shannon Prejean and Shad Moore; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Joseph Prejean and grandmother, Ethel Broussard.
