Funeral services for Mr. Scott Christopher Hanks will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Father Charles McMillin officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mr. Hanks was born in Jennings on February 1, 1957. He passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at his home in Thibodeaux where he was currently living. He loved the outdoors, especially riding his motorcycle and fishing. He also enjoyed camping and loved going on vacation with his family. Mr. Hanks was a family man who enjoyed being with his family and he was known to particularly enjoy spoiling his grandchildren.

Visitation for Mr. Hanks will begin Tuesday, September 19, at 4:00 p.m. at Miguez Funeral Home and will continue until 9:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Wednesday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Curtis Juluis Hanks of Lake Arthur and Kay Miguez Hanks of Jennings.

Mr. Hanks leaves to cherish his memory his daughter Kori (Richard)Abshire of Thibodaux; two sons, Justin Hanks and Christopher Hanks; two sisters, Rachel (Ken)Hoag of Slidell and Andrea (Joe)Metzger of Slidell; one brother Greg (Rebecca)Hanks of Sulphur; and four grandchildren, Brody, Ava, Elin, and Robbie Hanks.
