Mr. Rudolph “Rudy” William Tonn II, 79, passed away at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at his residence in Elton.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in the Elton United Methodist Church with Rev. Laura Nausbaum officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon until service time at 2:00 p.m.

Private interment will be held at a later date.

His wishes were to be cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

Mr. Tonn was a lifelong resident of Elton, member of Elton United Methodist Church, and a graduate of LSU class of 1962 with a Batchelor of Science degree. He was the owner of Elton Storage and Supply for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara “Bonnie” Lea Tonn of Elton; two daughters, Francine (Tim) Fontenot and Dana Blanchard both of Kinder; one son, Robert (Tammy) Tonn of Lacassine; one brother, James “Jim” (Linda) C. Tonn of Macon, GA; 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph W. and Marjorie Hartman Tonn.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elton United Methodist Church.
