Rosalie Duhon, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on June 13, 2025, at the age of 80. Born on March 28, 1945, in Houma, Louisiana, Rosalie spent her life nurturing and supporting her family with unwavering love and kindness.
Rosalie was a beautiful woman with a heart of gold, known for her comical personality that could light up any room. Rosalie cherished every moment spent with her husband, Steadman "Teddy" Duhon, and their four children. Family was her pride and joy, and she delighted in every achievement and milestone of her grandchildren. Rosalie was a faithful woman with a zest for life, enjoying cruises and creating lasting memories with those she loved.
Rosalie is survived by her loving husband, Steadman "Teddy" Duhon, and their three children: Stephanie (Garett) Klumpp, Steadman (Kim) Duhon, Jr., and Chad (April) Duhon. She also leaves behind her sister Debra LaCoste, brother Dudley LaCoste, and a wonderful legacy of grandchildren that includes Beau (Charlotte) Gaspard, Zackery (Gabrielle) Klumpp, Chloe Bertrand, Faith Duhon, Steadman Duhon, III, Dax Duhon, Madeline (Clint) Scisson, Deacon Joseph, Amelia Duhon, and many great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church on Tuesday June 17, 2025, at 1:00 PM, with Father Jay Alexius officiating. Following the services, she will be laid to rest in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
In this time of sorrow, we remember Rosalie as a guiding light whose love knew no bounds, a faithful matriarch whose legacy will continue to inspire and uplift her family. She will be forever missed but will remain in our hearts as we celebrate the life she lived so joyfully.
Rosalie was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Duhon; grandson, Rocky Gaspard; siblings, Sylvia LaCoste, Elward LaCoste, Dorothy Billiot and her parents, Bessie and Frank LaCoste.
