Rodney LeJeune

June 28, 1972 — May 21, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rodney Dale Lejeune, Jr. a beloved father, son, brother, and friend who departed this life on May 21, 2025, at the age of 52.

Born on June 28, 1972, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, Rodney dedicated his life to the bridge construction industry, his family, his church family, and the community. Rodney began working for Guinn Brothers not long after his high school graduation. He started as a laborer and was a loyal, dedicated employee for the next twenty-two years. Rodney took pride in a job well done and continued to advance through those years. In 2012, he became the superintendent of Guinn Construction. He enjoyed teaching new or younger employees skills and other relevant information to be successful at their jobs. Rodney’s time at Guinn Construction and being the right hand to Mark Guinn was a huge part of his life.

Rodney’s heart was always dedicated to his family. Married in 2016 to his wife Jenah, Rodney made it a priority to spend time with his wife and children. He looked forward to everything from LSU and Saints football, hunting, and family gatherings. Time with his family was time well spent.

Rodney was a vital part of his community, which included coaching local youth in baseball and football. Rodney faithfully served his church, Our Savior’s Church, and was honored at every opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus to people near and far. Rodney had the gift of Evangelism and regardless of coaching or mentoring, he found great joy in pouring into the next generation and all those around him.

He will be remembered by his loving wife Jenah Darbonne LeJeune; his children McKenna LeJeune, Dylan LeJeune, and Hannah (Jacob) LeBlanc, and Hudson LeJeune; his furry sidekick Maggie; mother and step-father Peggy (C.E.) Bourne; in-laws Mike and Bronwen Darbonne; the mother of his children Christy (Trent) Richard, sisters Tracy Herren, BreAnn (Colten) King, Amy (Jason) Blair, Mary Sue Bourne; brothers Buddy(Kristi) LeJeune, Harrison Bourne, Daniel Bourne, and Paul Bourne; sister in laws Sarah(Kent) Thibodeaux, Micah(Joseph) Pullig, and brother in law Nick (Rachel) Darbonne, and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Rodney Dale LeJeune, Sr. “Monk”, his grandparents Edward and Sybil Lejeune, and Clarence and Ozeit LeJeune. Also waiting to greet him in heaven are many aunts, uncles, and other relatives.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Our Savior’s Church, Jennings Campus, starting at 10 a.m., and will continue until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. A celebration of life will take place at that time. He will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings, Louisiana under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Carrying Rodney to his final resting place will be Buddy LeJeune, Colten King, Mark Guinn, Kent Thibodeaux, Joseph Pullig, and Nick Darbonne. Honorary Pallbearers will be Guinn Construction employees and Our Savior’s Church Men of God (MOG).

Jenah and the family would like to thank everyone for their continued prayers and support. To the OSC Brazil Missions Team thank you for sharing his last days and helping him to fulfill the great Commission of loving God and making Him known. Your pictures and videos will be priceless memories to us, forever. To Pastor Josh Belt, thank you for not only pouring into Rodney, but accompanying him and doing everything in your power to get him back home quickly. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Jenah and her family or to OSC Missions in memory of Rodney.
