Rodger Lee Grounds

LAKE CHARLES A memorial service for Mr. Rodger Lee Grounds, 60, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, October 3, 2009 in East Ridge Baptist Church, Lake Charles with Rev. Alan Weishameel officiating. Mr. Grounds died at 6:40 a.m., Wednesday, September 30, 2009 at his residence in Welsh. Mr. Grounds was a native of Beaver, Oklahoma and resident of Welsh 2 ½ years moving there from Bolivar, Missouri. He was a cross country truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Richie Kay Burnett Grounds of Welsh; two daughters, Anissa Pierson of Springfield, MO, Jada Keeling of Iowa, LA; one sister, Loretta Jordan, Lubbock, TX; and two brothers, Gary Grounds of Lubbock, TX and Dennis Grounds of Idaho; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
