Funeral services for Robert Scott Sensat, age 61, of Jennings will be held on June 8, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Bethel Church with pastor and close friend Michael Tadlock officiating. Visitation will be on June 8, 2026 from 8:30 AM until the service time at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest in Mermentau Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Pastor Scott was born October 12, 1964 in Jacksonville, FL to Dr. Bob and Patsy Morris Sensat. Scott spent a brief but enjoyable time as a farmhand during his high school years which later became his in laws. He began his professional career as a financial advisor and later as a bank consultant. He spent the last 14 years as associate pastor of Bethel Church, where he found his true calling. He was a faithful man of prayer and will be greatly missed in Bethel's prayer room.
Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 31 years, Leesa Dupuis Sensat, his sisters Judy (Tim) West of Hot Springs, AR, and Deborah (James) Doucet of Sulphur, LA; brother-in-law Brandon (Kayla) Dupuis of Welsh, LA; nephew Michael Doucet, neices Michelle Herard, Melissa Goings, Brooke Dupuis and Blaire Dupuis; great nephews David Herard and Gabriel Goings; great neices Alayna Goings, Macy Herard and Ellie Goings, and mother-in-law Cynthia Doucet Dupuis. He also leaves behind his much loved Bethel Church family.
He loved riding alongside Leesa on their motorcycles, and he cherished spending time with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dr. Bob and Patsy Morris Sensat; maternal grandparents Melvin and Grace Graham, paternal grandparents Wilford and Agnes Sensat, and father-in-law Larry Lee Dupuis.
Those carrying him to his final resting place will be Richard Hunt, Vance Richard, Jeff Finch, Keith Wall, Rickey Tauzin, and Randy Davis.
