Robert John Hardy

JENNINGS Mr. Robert John Hardy, 72, died at 5:20 p.m., Sunday, May 17, 2015 at his residence in Welsh. Mr. Hardy’s body was cremated under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings. Mr. Hardy was a lifelong resident of Welsh and served in the U.S. National Guard. He was a member of Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to plant a garden. Mr. Hardy always had a big garden. Survivors include his wife, Maxine Harvey Hardy; two sons, Ray Lynn Hopson and wife Rebecca and Robert Mitchell Hardy; one brother, Harry Hardy and wife Ethel all of Welsh; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell and Edna Bourgeois Hardy; one son, Robert Mitchel Hardy, and one daughter, Crystal Suzette Hardy.
