Robbie Fay Hanvy

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Robbie Fay Knowles Hanvy, 80, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 1, 2009 in the Miguez Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Wells officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., Thursday; and 8:00 a.m., Friday until time of services. Mrs. Hanvy died at 1:45 a.m., Tuesday, April 28, 2009 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital. Mrs. Hanvy was a native of Groveton, Texas and a resident of Jennings 52 years. She, along with her husband, owned J & L Truck Repair Service. Mrs. Hanvy was a member of First Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Melissa Cormier of Jennings; three sons, James Hanvy of St. Louis, MO, Gene Hanvy of McAllen, TX, Ray Hanvy of Mountain View, AR; one sister, Nelly Fitch of Spring, TX; one brother, Wayne Knowles of CA; seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Robert and Emma Ashworth Knowles, her husband, Johnny Hanvy, two daughters, Shirley Griffin and Carol Duhon, and one great-grandchild, Hunter Romero.
