Funeral services for Mrs. Rita Myers Sittig, 66, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2019 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.

Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery.

Funeral home visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday; and 8:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.

A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home chapel.

Mrs. Sittig passed away at 2:03 a.m., Wednesday, July 24, 2019 in the Harbor Hospice in Lake Charles.

Mrs. Sittig was a lifelong resident of Jennings and was a homemaker.  She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She enjoyed playing bingo and planting flowers.  She was a very loving person and was always caring for others.

Survivors include her husband of 44 years, Douglas, “Beo” Sittig of Jennings; two daughters,  Mary (Donnie) Beard of Hathaway, Roxanne (Bill) Moore of Houston; one son, Todd (Dana) Sittig of Edmond, OK; five brothers, Clifford Myers of Lake Charles, Donald (Myong) Myers of Jennings, Russell Myers of Mermentau, Curley Myers of Arizona, Steve Myers of Jennings; eight grandchildren, Kyler (Courtney) Sittig, Chaylee, Payton, Madyson Beard, Grayson Moore, Kyle, Kevin and Hank Latimer; two great grandchildren, Ava and Dawson Sittig.

Mrs. Sittig is preceded in death by her parents Casey and Rosabelle Kibodeaux Myers; one sister, Rose Mae Myers; and four brothers, Harry Lee, Loveless, Burley and Shirley Myers.
