Graveside Services for Mr. Randall C. Broussard, 76, will be held on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Southwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.
Mr. Broussard was born on September 25, 1946 in Lake Charles to Rodney Broussard and Mable Prudhomme. He was a very proud Viet Nam Veteran and served three tours in Viet Nam. He was in the United States Marine Corps for eight years. Mr. Broussard loved Cajun Music and played in the band with D. L. Menard for 10 years. After he became a resident of the Jefferson Davis Living Center, he would play the triangle every third Wednesday, on Cajun Music Day at the center. He was known among the staff and residents as “the toothpick man”. He loved and cherished his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Mr. Broussard has lived in the area for seven years, after moving here from New Iberia.
Those left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Dawn “Doobie” (Joshua) Taylor of Iota and Corie”Doocie” (Cody) Durio of Basile; one brother, Tracy Hill and sister, Gail (Trudy) Broussard; ten grandchildren, Shelby, Brennan, Alli, Rylie, Brayden, Brantley, Blake, Camryn, Tance and Chance; 6 great grandchildren and one on the way and Godfather to Junior Thibodeaux.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Billy Hill, Sr.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation will be under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
