A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Patricia Abshire Vincent, 86, of Lake Arthur, will be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mrs. Vincent will begin on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. and continue until 1:00 p.m. to leave for church.  A rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m.

Mrs. Vincent was born on October 8, 1936, in Gueydan to Austin and Mary Sonnier Abshire.  She was a high school graduate. She loved to crochet and knit.  She also enjoyed beading, macrame and ceramics.  She worked very hard as a wife and mother and enjoyed taking care of her family.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Floyd Vincent; daughter, Tina (Jude) Leger of Round Rock, TX; son, Francis Michael Vincent of Lake Arthur; brother, Bobby Abshire of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Amber Posluszny, Garrett Leger, Caleb Leger, Seth Leger; and one great granddaughter, Paisley Posluszny.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Brenda Myers; and three brothers, Austin “Sonny” Abshire, Logan Abshire, and Carl Abshire
