Oswald Onezime Tate

Mr. Oswald Onezime Tate, also known to many as "Ugg", passed away peacefully in his home on August 14, 2026, at the age of 73, with his beloved wife at his side.

Ugg was born on July 25, 1953, in Kinder, Louisiana, to the late Matthew Tate and Margaret Godeau Tate. Ugg was a hard working, loving, and inspiring man. For many years he owned his own company known as, "Tate and Son Logging", always providing for his family. He will be deeply missed and his legacy will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his loving wife, Julia Wisener Tate; six children; two step children; along with several siblings and many extended family and friends that will always remember Ugg.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Margaret.

In honoring Ugg's wishes, cremation has taken place under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

A memorial is being planned and will be announced by the family at a later date.
