Funeral services for Mr. Nelson John Landry, 86, of Jennings, will be held on Tuesday January 26, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Lacassine Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will be held on Monday January 25, 2021 from 2:30 p.m. and continue until closing at 9:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Tuesday morning until the time of service at 10:00 a.m.

Mr. Nelson passed away peacefully Saturday January 23, 2021 in his residence surrounded by his loving family and his loving dogs Sissy and Missy.

Nelson was born November 4^th, 1934 in Lacassine, LA to Sylves and Bernice Gotte Landry. He worked as a welder in the shipyard. He enjoyed horse races, dancing, raising his animals and planting in his garden. He also enjoyed watching football with his family.

Those left behind to treasure Mr. Nelson’s memory are his daughter, Bernadine Alexander of Hathaway; sons, Tim (Laura) Landry of Hathaway, Larry (Lisa) Landry of Iowa, and Gerald (Linda) Landry of Jennings; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sylves and Bernice Gotte Landry; and three brothers, Harold, George and Fred Landry.
