Funeral services for Mrs. Myrtle Crochet Theriot, 85 will be held on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Darrell Hieronymus officiating.

Burial will be in the Miller French Baptist Cemetery.

Visitation hours on Monday, February 22, 2016 will be from 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday morning from 8 a.m. until the time of service.

Mrs. Theriot died Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 1:10 a.m. in Harbor Hospice in Lake Charles.

She was a native of Iota and lifelong resident of Evangeline. She enjoyed cooking, cleaning houses, attending her church and spending time with her family.

She is survived by a daughter, Diane Theriot of Evangeline, a son, Carl Theriot of Evangeline, a sister, Nella Higginbotham, 5 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Theriot was preceded in death by her parents, Edles and Viola Gatte Crochet, a sister, Hazel Bellard and three brothers, Amos, Elroy, Olen and George Crochet.
