Mary Joyce Smith

With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Mary Joyce Smith, who left us peacefully on November 28, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on September 26, 1944, in Jennings, Louisiana.

Joyce lived a life full of love, laughter, and a deep passion for family. A long-time resident of Jennings, Louisiana, Joyce was a devoted mother to her daughters; Pam (Joe) Rogers, Phelina Clement, Cindy (Rusty) Savant, and Sandi Haydel.

She was a cherished grandmother and great grandmother, leaving behind a legacy of love that includes her grandchildren; Edward "Scott" (Lauren) LeBlanc, Eric (Kathleen) LeBlanc, Katie (Lyle) Vanhorn, Lance Stein, Lisa (AJ) LeBlanc, Johnathon Blake Comeaux, Michael (Raelinn) Clement, McKensey (Joseph) Griffin, Cole (Lacey) Savant, Brad (Anna) Savant, Taylor Savant, Logan Haydel, Sidney Haydel and her 21 great grandchildren.

Joyce had a deep love for hummingbirds, plants and flowers, often finding joy in observing them around her garden. Joyce loved her quiet time watching her favorite tv shows.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Robert "Smitty" Smith, her parents Adam and Zalia Breaux, her son Roger Comeaux, three grandkids Amber, Ashlon, Roger Jr., her sisters Margaret "Nanny" Deshotel, Betty Jane "MeMe" Daigle, her brothers Donald, Emery, and Wayne Breaux.

Family would like to thank LAMM Hospice and Camelot Brookside for their compassionate care, kindness, and support shown to Joyce during her time.

Cremation has been entrusted in Miguez Funeral Home to honor her wishes.
