Mary Elizabeth Naegele

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Elizabeth Naegele, who left this world peacefully on February 18, 2026, at the age of 75. Born on August 25, 1950, in Evangeline, Louisiana, Mary lived a life filled with love and laughter, surrounded by family and friends in Jennings, Louisiana.

Mary dedicated herself to her role as a secretary in the agriculture industry, where she made lasting connections with those around her. She had a bright spirit and a playful nature, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life-sitting outside in the sun and sharing stories over a cup of coffee. An avid fan of old westerns, she could often be found watching her favorite films, bringing a smile to everyone who shared the experience with her.

Mary is survived by her cherished grandchild, Cade Murphy, who was the light of her life. She now joins her beloved family members who have passed before her, including her parents and siblings, leaving behind countless memories cherished by those who loved her.

In honor of Mary's life, a public viewing will take place at Miguez Funeral Home on February 20, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, where friends and family can gather to celebrate the incredible woman she was.

Mary will be laid to rest at 3:00 PM on the same day, February 20, 2026, at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Evangeline, LA under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mary was preceded in death by: her husband Robert "Bob" Naegele, daughter, Ashley Murphy, son Audie Murphy, her parents, Steven and Agnes Simar Kimball, and her siblings, Oneda Fruge, Herbert Kimball, James Kimball, and Peggy Cobb.
