Marie Landry

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Marie Susan Landry, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who left us peacefully on June 9, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on January 26, 1937, in Quebec, Canada, Marie made her home in Jennings, Louisiana, where she was known for her warmth and kindness.

Marie spent her life dedicated to her family, raising her kids- Selina, Maria, Phylip, Jean, with endless love and support. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her so much happiness. An amazing homemaker with a heart of gold, Marie created a loving environment filled with laughter and cherished memories.

Marie's family will hold a memorial service to celebrate her life, honoring the wonderful legacy she leaves behind. Details regarding the time and location will be shared soon. Following her wishes, her cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.

She is survived by her children; one sister, Anna-Marie Darling; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson.

Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Landry, Jr., and her parents Andrew Poirier and Yvonne Cavanaugh Chase.
