Funeral services for Mrs. Margaret Goldie Griffin Monlezun, 99, will be held at 12:00 noon, Friday, March 6, 2020 in the Miguez Funeral Home in Lake Arthur with Rev. Jay Alexius officiating.

Funeral home visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. Friday until the time of service.

Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery.

Mrs. Monlezun passed away Monday, March 2, 2020 in Houston.

She was a resident of Lake Arthur most of her life and was a manager in retail sales.  She loved to sew, play cards and loved to hang out with her grandchildren.  She was always ready for whatever they wanted to do.  She was a people person who never met a stranger.

Survivors include one daughter, Yvonne Guillory of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Nathan (Heather) Guillory, Rebecca (Valdimir) Perla both of Katy, TX; great grandchildren, Lauren Guillory, Taylor (Logan) Nelson of Lake Charles; and Sophia Perla, Katy, TX.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Honorine Berger Griffin; her husband, Joseph Monlezun, Jr; her son-in-law, Carroll Guillory; and five brothers.
