M.L. Blackwell

Funeral services for Mr. M. L. Blackwell, 92 of Jennings will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel.

A private burial will be held later at the Southwest Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation for Mr. Blackwell will begin Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. and will conclude at the time of service.

Mr. Blackwell was a consultant in the oil industry for many years.  He also served in the Army during the Korean War.  He enjoyed cutting grass and all who knew him considered him a person with a very generous and compassionate heart.

Those left to behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Louella Spell Landry; three daughters, Polly Quebodeaux, Pamela Hanks and Tammy Inman; one sister, Katie Fruge; grandchildren, Mark, Cecil and A. J. Inman, Ryan Guidry, Matt and Jason Cart and numerous great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Matte and Lilly Whiddon Blackwell.
