Ludrin Lou Viator

Ludrin Lou Viator, a cherished husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2026. Born on July 21, 1953, Lou was a true Louisiana man, known for his unwavering sense of loyalty and kindness. He lived a life full of passion, sharing his love for the New Orleans Saints and LSU football with friends and family alike. Lou had a special affinity for riding the back roads hunt'in turtles, to hunting deer with his son and friends, and spending quality time with those he loved.

A dedicated welder, Lou proudly spent 40 years at the Ship Yard, earning the admiration of all who worked alongside him. He was a man of his word and lived his life with integrity, leaving behind a legacy of respect and warmth.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Pamela Viator; his daughters, Shelly Viator and Ashlyn Beard; his son, Josh (Kassey) Viator; siblings Jackie (Henry) West, Davis (Viola) Viator, Paul (Rose) Viator, and Russel (Faye) Viator, his daughter-in-law, Brandi Wooley; as well as eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored and cherished.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings, from 11:00 AM until 8:00 PM. His service will be held at 6:45 PM in the chapel, following the service his rosary will begin at 7:15 PM. Following his service, cremation will be held under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Ludrin was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Viator and Eudie Istre Viator, his son, Zane Wooley, his sister, Sylvia Bertrand, and great-granddaughter, Lily James.
