Lucille Cormier Mallett

JENNINGS Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Cormier Mallett, 91, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 20, 2011 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Charlie Crews officiating. Burial will be in the Broussard Cemetery near Lacassine. Funeral home visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., today, Wednesday; and 8:00 a.m., Thursday until time of services. Mrs. Mallett died at 7:47 p.m., Monday, October 17, 2011 at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Welsh. She was a native of Elton and a 54 year resident of Lacassine. She was a homemaker and a member of the United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Robert L. Mallett and wife Sharon of Lacassine, LA; one sister, Bernadine Fontenot of Lake Charles; one brother, Clevance Cormier of Kinder; two granddaughters, Lori Mallett Lognion and husband John of Bell City and Kelli Mallett Townley and husband Robert of Beaumont, TX; four great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Mallett is preceded in death by her husband, Theo Mallett, her parents, Tarville and Laura LeDoux Cormier; two sisters and five brothers.
