Leonard Wayne Breaux

It's with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leonard Wayne Breaux, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, who left us on August 18, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on August 1, 1939, in Jennings, Louisiana, Leonard lived every day to the fullest, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Leonard had a fulfilling career in the oil and gas industry, dedicating over 45 years to the field as a respected consultant. Outside of work, he had a true passion for adventure. He loved spending weekends skeet shooting, hunting, and fishing, always finding joy and peace in nature. Alongside his wife, Deanna, he enjoyed traveling extensively and camping, creating cherished memories that he will always hold dear.

Leonard's greatest pride and joy were his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Deanna; daughters Kendra (Max) Laidlaw, and Melinda Breaux; and son Kyle Breaux. He was a devoted grandfather to Christopher (Lyndsie) Laidlaw, Devin (Jodi) Laidlaw, Ali Laidlaw, Kendyl Breaux, and Avery Breaux, and cherished his great-grandchildren, Isla, Boyd, Ivey, and Leti Laidlaw.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 11:30 AM until 3:00 PM. Funeral services to honor his life will be held the same day at First Baptist Church in Jennings, LA at 3:00 PM with Brother Brian Wells officiating his services. He will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery in Jennings, LA.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Breaux, Annie Rutledge Breaux, and his dear siblings, Betty Darbone, Leroy Breaux, Elaine DeJean, Pat Barnett, Gloria Kay Guillory, and Sharon DeRouen.
