It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Lenora Gail Mallett, a loving sister and devoted friend, who left us on April 17, 2026, at the age of 66. Lenora, a resident of Welsh, Louisiana, will be remembered for her vibrant spirit, her love of the outdoors, and her deep connection to her family and faith.
Born on July 3, 1959, Lenora graduated from Lake Arthur High School and later carved out a successful career as a land consultant in the oil and gas industry. She was a nurturing soul with a passion for gardening, often tending to her plants and sharing the fruits of her labor through canning and selling goods. Her hands worked lovingly to cultivate not only her garden but also the hearts of those around her.
A dedicated member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Daughters, Lenora's faith was an integral part of her life. She found joy in serving her community, exemplified through her involvement with Friends Supporting Friends Benefits, where she offered kindness and support to those in need. Her spirit of compassion and her ability to light up a room with her smile left a profound impact on all who knew her.
Lenora is survived by her beloved sister, Juanita LeBlanc, her dear brother, Lawrence (Lula) Mallett, and numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
Family and friends are invited to join in the celebration of Lenora's life. A public viewing will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at Miguez Funeral Home in Jennnings, staring at 11:30 AM, and continue until the time of the rosary. A Rosary will be recited at 1:00 PM. Following the rosary, Lenora's graveside service will take place at Andrus Cove Cemetery in Jennings, Louisiana, at 2:00 PM, where she will be laid to rest under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
In this time of mourning, we invite family and friends to gather to honor Lenora's life, celebrate her spirit, and share cherished memories. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
Lenora was preceded in death by her parents, Wallace Mallett and Advelia Nolan Mallett, her brother Adam Mallett Sr., and her brother-in-law Harry LeBlanc.
