Laurice A. Hanks

Funeral services for Mrs. Laurice A. Hanks, 72, will be held on Wednesday, July10, 2024, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 p.m. with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating. A burial will follow in the Estherwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. until the time of services with a rosary recited at 1:30 p.m.

Mrs. Hanks was born in Ragley, LA on May 17, 1952, to Leodice and Editha Miller Morvant. Mrs. Hanks was a lifelong resident of Jennings. She passed away on July 6, 2024, in a Lake Charles Care Center.

Those left to cherish his memory is her loving children; daughters, Shelley Swire and Cynthia LaBouve; son, Keith Hanks; sisters, Ella Mae Leblanc, Susie Morvant, Laura Breaux and Ella Jane Broussard; brothers, Leo Morvant, Calvin Morvant and Peter Morvant; 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Russell “Red” Hanks; sister, Stella Crochet and brother, Alvin Morvant.
