Jennings
Kenneth Wayne Russell was born November 16, 1953. He was raised in Hayes by his grandparents, Joe and Natalie Gaspard. He later moved to Jennings where he lived before retiring and moving to Evangeline to be close to his daughter.
He spent his life working in the oilfield industry, in various positions over the years and retired as a Directional driller. His number one pastime was fishing, and he did that at every opportunity until he was no longer able to. After that he spent his days on the porch visiting with whoever stopped by.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Diana Russell; his baby girl, Chasidy and her husband Chad Bertrand; stepdaughter, Daisha Kilgore; two grandsons, Landon Wayne LeJeune and Kason Paul Bertrand; three great grandchildren, Karsyn, Keller and Wren LeJeune; two nieces; his lifelong friend, Ricky Copper and his three beloved dogs.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents, C.C. and Melda Russell; his sister, Sylvia Trahan Romero and stepson, Randy Kilgore.
The family would like to thank Dr. Wilder, MD Anderson Hospital, Jennings Rehab and all the nurses that took such great care of from LAMM Hospice. We are forever grateful.
Cremation is under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
