Kenneth "Putt" Wayne Young Jr.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Kenneth "Putt" Wayne Young Jr., 55, of Jennings, Louisiana, who departed this life on April 11, 2026, in his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born on May 5, 1970, in Crowley, LA, Putt was a dedicated business owner, operating Young's AC and Heating and Puttco Oilfield Services for many years. Known for his hard work, integrity, and commitment to excellence, he was a respected figure in the community. His passion extended beyond business; he had a keen love for classic cars, motorcycles, and drag racing, as well as a fondness for spending time on any piece of equipment. Putt cherished the moments spent with family and friends, always seeking to create cherished memories and share good times.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dana Young; parents, Kenneth and Janette Young; Mother and Father-in-law, Henry and Effie Daigle; his godparents, Robert Young and Peggy Crochet Daigle; and a special godchild, Bennett Hebert; and a host of extended family and friends that will forever remember his generous spirit, infectious laugh, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

A funeral service to celebrate Putt's life will be held on Wednesday April 15, 2026, at Miguez Funeral Home, beginning at 2:30 PM, with Father Bill Miller officiating. A gathering of family and friends will take place on Wednesday April 15, 2026, from 9:30 AM until the time of service. A rosary will be held at 1:30 PM in the chapel.

He will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery in Jennings, LA, under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Walter and Inez Young and his maternal grandparents, Sam and Pearly Crochet.
