It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Keischa Marie Stevens, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, who departed from this world on January 26, 2026, at the age of 53. Born on June 10, 1972, in Jennings, LA, Keischa was a lifelong resident of her cherished hometown, where she built a legacy of love and devotion to her family.
Keischa will be lovingly remembered by her husband, James Stevens, her sons, Christopher "Spanky" (Candace) Leger, Lucas Stevens, Ryan LeJeune, and her cherished grandchildren, Cole Leger, Chrislyn Leger, Tracin DeLeon, and Emarie DeLeon. She is also survived by her sisters, Sheree (Kaleb) Newman and Bailey Leger, as well as her aunt Brenda Benoit and uncle Rusty Martin. Keischa's family was everything to her, and she poured her heart into nurturing and supporting them.
A passionate cook and baker, Keischa found joy in preparing meals and treats for her loved ones, creating memories shared around the dinner table. She also had a spirited love for heavy metal concerts, where she embraced the music that resonated with her vibrant personality.
Keischa was a courageous cancer survivor, celebrating 13 years in remission, a testament to her strength and resilience.
A public viewing will take place at Miguez Funeral Home on February 2, 2026, starting at 9:30 AM until the time of service. Friends and family are invited to gather together for a funeral service at 2:00 PM on the same day with Brother Michael Tadlock officiating. She will laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Her spirit will remain alive in the hearts of those she touched, and her legacy will continue to be celebrated by her family and friends. As we say goodbye, let us honor the remarkable life of Keischa, whose love and laughter will be forever cherished.
Keischa was preceded in death by her parents Johnny and Linda Leger and her daughter Breanna Marie Stevens.
