Katie Rae Mott

Miss Katie Rae Mott, 36, of Iowa, LA passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 6, 2021, in Jennings. Miss Mott was born on September 16, 1985, in Lake Charles to Lee Ray and Adeline Cormier Mott.

She was a high school graduate and was working in the healthcare industry as a kitchen aid. She will be remembered as a kind and loving person to all who knew her.

Miss Mott is survived by her mother, Adeline Cormier Mott of Ville Platte; daughter, Jalesha DeShazo and son Landon DeShazo, both of Jennings; three sisters, Jamie Mott of Ville Platte, Lynzie Mott of Jennings, and Emilie Mott of Roanoke and one brother, Casey Kinkelaar of Kinder.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lee Ray Mott and her paternal grandparents and her maternal grandparents.

Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held later.
