It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Karl Wayne Monger, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend, who left us peacefully on August 20, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on September 2, 1949, in Jennings, LA, Karl was a long-time resident of the town, where he made a life as a master carpenter, dedicated to his craft and the many projects that filled his days.
Karl was known for his love of the outdoors and cherished every moment spent with his family. He had a special place in his heart for animals, especially his beloved cats, which brought him joy and companionship.
Left to carry on his legacy are his daughters, Rose and Melissa Monger; and a proud grandfather to Skylar Monger, Devan Sinegal, Blake Monger, Nevaeh Hayes, William Bellido, Amy Bellido, and Adam Bellido; and a great grandfather to Bryson and Grayson Sinegal; and his former wife, Patsy Monger; who will deeply miss his warm presence and loving spirit.
Family and friends are invited to gather at Miguez Funeral Home for a visitation on September 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 8:00. Following the visitation, the family has chosen to honor his wishes of cremation. Join us in remembering the incredible man he was and the legacy he leaves behind.
Karl's warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit will be forever remembered by all who knew him. Rest in peace, Karl.
Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Helen Monger; a grandchild, Destiny Monger; and his siblings, Cheryl Ann Monger and Alfred Monger, II.
