A Celebration of Life Memorial service for Joshua Wayne Self, 42, of Jennings, will be held at Living World Assembly Church at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 25, 2024, with Rev. Robert Kratzer officiating.

Joshua was born on December 17, 1981, in Jennings to Darrell Henry Self and Vanessa Dale Elkins Self.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially around the fire pit.  He also enjoyed fishing.  Joshua worked in construction as a laborer.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Vanessa O’Quinn; his son, Simon; brother Darrell “Winkie” (Roilyn) Self and nephews, Darrell, Dustyn, and Hunter; sister Erin Thibodeaux, and nieces and nephews, Kalen, Piper, and Karson; brother, Dale (Melonie) Dolin and children Andrew Dolin and Austin Davies; sister, Amy Dolin and nieces, Kristin and Kelcie Hurt.

He was preceded in death by his father, Darrell H. Self; his paternal grandparents, Anna Leckelt-Cabra and Henry Edward Self; and his maternal grandparents, Harrison Elkins, and Naomi Taylor Elkins.

His family has entrusted cremation to Miguez Funeral Home.
