John E. Landry

Funeral services for John E. Landry, 85, will be held on Tuesday March 10, 2026, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur, LA, beginning at 1:00 PM, with Brother Jered Thomas officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday March 9, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at 8:00 AM until the time of service. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

He was born on December 31, 1940, in Lake Arthur, Louisiana, to Eli Landry, Sr. and Alice Mclean Landry. John was a true outdoorsman at heart. He loved spending time hunting and fishing, always with a good story to share about his adventures. He worked as a driller in the oil and gas industry for many years, a job he approached with pride and dedication. Above all, John treasured his family, especially his cherished grandchildren, who brought him immense joy and laughter.

We will come together to share stories, laughter, and memories, honoring a man who gave so much to those around him. John's spirit will live on in the stories we share and the love we continue to hold for him. His laughter, love for nature, and devotion to family will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.

Left to carry his legacy are his children, Jeffrey (Michelle) Landry, Myron (Kim) Landry, Timothy (Holly) Landry, Keith (Crystal) Landry and Brandon (April) Landry; twenty eight grandchildren; forty six great grandchildren; and his siblings, Tholen Landry, Wilbert Landry, Mike Landry, Allen Landry, Fenelia "Faye" David.

John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Alice Landry; parents, Eli and Alice Landry; and siblings, Joe Landry, Kurtis Landry, Kenneth Landry, Eli Landry, Jr., and Edward Landry.,

Rest in peace, John. You will be missed, but your legacy will continue to shine brightly in our hearts.
