Jennings
A Memorial service for Mr. John William Hurst, Jr., 67, of Lake Arthur will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Jennings with Pastor Eric Sonnier officiating.
Memorial visitation will be held at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m.
John was born on February 22, 1955, in Evangeline, LA to John and Catherine Cutler Hurst, Sr. He was a resident of Lake Arthur and worked as a driller in the oilfield industry. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his children and grandchildren dearly.
He is survived by his two daughters, Lindsay Turner of Auburn, GA, Lauren Hurst of Jennings; son, Elijah Hurst of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Roman and Ramsay Kate Turner; sisters, Sandra Seagraves, Sheila Seiffert; and brother, Robert Hurst.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Susan Hurst; and brother Barton Hurst.
