Joan Landry Crader

A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Joan Landry Crader, 80, of Jennings will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Trey Ange officiating.  Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

The visitation for Mrs. Crader will begin on Thursday, April 18^th at 2:30 p.m. and will end at 8:00 p.m.  A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. until the time to depart for church at 1:30 p.m.

Joan was born on February 1, 1944, in Jennings to Raymond and Evelyn Dupont Landry.  She worked as the office manager for Stafford Properties.  Joan was a loving wife for nearly 60 years until her passing. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially doted on her grandchildren.  She also loved gardening and spending time taking care of her flower beds gave her great joy.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of nearly 60 years, Charles Crader; a daughter, Vickie (Richard) Hayes;  five sisters, Eloise (Richard) Stutes, Mona (Jimmy) Richard, Debbie (Butch) Duhon, Marie (Larry) LaComb and Julie Landry; one brother, Donald (Rita) Landry; grandchildren, Ethan Wade Crader, Emily Joan Hayes and Logan (Abby) Hayes; three great grandchildren, Gabriel and Ellianna Crader and Parker Hayes; numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Dolores Reed, and Dorothy Kratzer.

The family would like to thank Kristin Lejeune and Kristan Istre with LAMM Hospice, along with her sitters, Penny Miller, and Brenda Moses, for the excellent care of Joan over the year.
