Jo Ann Richard

Funeral services for Mrs. Jo Ann Gary Richard, 73, of Jennings, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 10, 2023, in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.  Burial will follow in Gary Cemetery.

Visitation for Mrs. Richard will begin on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at 2:30 p.m. and continue until 8:00 p.m.  A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m.  Visitation will resume on Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. and continue until the 11:00 a.m. service.

Mrs. Richard was born on August 8, 1949, in Jennings, to parents Etienne Gary and Lericia G. Gary.  She was a high school graduate and worked as a secretary.  On September 5, 1970, she married the love of her life, Lance Richard and would have celebrated 53 years of marriage this year.  She enjoyed dancing and listening to French music.  Mrs. Richard also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Lance; her son, Craig (Donna) Richard of Jennings; and a grandson, Braeden Richard.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents; and two brothers, Melvin and A J Gary.
