Jester James Matte

Memorial services for Mr. Jester J. Matte, 66, will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, March 22, 2014 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel.

Mr. Mattes body was cremated.

Funeral home visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. Saturday until time of service.

Mr. Matte died at 3:40 p.m., Thursday, March 20, 2014 in the Jennings American Legion Hospital.

He was a native of Basile and a resident of Jennings since 2008 moving here from Jacksonville, FL. Mr. Matte was a high school graduate and was a retired military Staff Sgt. in the U.S. Army. He loved doing craft work.

Survivors include one daughter, Crystel Hill and husband Christopher of Orange Park, FL; two sisters, Doris Menard and husband Bee of Duson, Mary Young and husband Austin of Jennings; one brother, Felix Matte and wife Kayla of Lafayette; and two grandchildren, Raylee and Ryder.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Cutter Matte; parents, Leo and Bernice Miller Matte Sr.; three sisters, Betty Keller, Wanda Sue Matte, Dorothy Herbert; two brothers, Clarence Matte and Leo Matte, Jr.
