Mr. Jerald Wayne Pitre, 62, of DeRidder, passed away on December 27, 2018.

Mr. Pitre was born on August 22, 1956 in Jennings to Clifford Pitre and Versa Bolfa.  He was a cross country truck driver who enjoyed seeing as much of America as he could.  He loved hunting and he enjoyed taking care of the animals on his farm, but most of all he loved his grandchildren.

Mr. Pitre was preceded in death by his parents; a son Cody Pitre and a sister, Lou Ann Pitre.

He is survived by his wife, Sue LaVergne Pitre; one daughter, Mary Pitre of Mississippi; two sons, Jerald  (Christy) Pitre, Jr. of Jennings and Chad (Amanda Veuleman) Pitre of Hathaway; five sisters all of Lake Arthur, Velma Reed, Thelma Portie, Merlene Landry, Geneva Mier, and Bernadine LaCoste; two brothers, Donald Pitre of Jennings and Tommy Pitre of Texas; and 10 grandchildren.

Cremation has been entrusted to Miguez Funeral Home.
