JENNINGS Funeral services for Mr. James Edward (Grumpy) LeJeune, Sr., 68, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday March 5, 2014 in the Miguez Funeral Home chapel with Bro. Brian Wells officiating. Burial will be in the Lopez Cemetery. Funeral home visitation will be from 4:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m., today, Tuesday; and 8:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. Mr. LeJeune died Monday, March 3, 2014 in the West Calcasieu Cameron Hospital in Sulphur. Mr. LeJeune was a lifelong resident of Jennings and he served in the National Guard. He was a retired sheriff deputy for Jefferson Davis parish. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He loved fishing, baseball, watching westerns and spending time with his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Betty Gary LeJeune of Jennings; two daughters, Melinie Loewer and husband Wade of Jennings, Shelly Ashford of Jennings; one son James Garb LeJeune, Jr. of Jennings; one sister, Margie Reeves of Sulphur; three brothers, Daniel LeJeune and wife Darline of Lacassine, Tony LeJeune and wife Denise of Welsh, David LeJeune and wife Kay of Lake Charles; and ten grandchildren; TJ, Allison, Jeffery, Christopher, Sara, Zachary, Jarred, Ronnie, Joshua, and Annie. Mr. LeJeune is preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Mercedes Landry LeJeune. Pallbearers will be; Wade Loewer, Christopher Loewer, TJ Chaisson, Jeffery Trahan, Jarred LeJeune, Ronnie Ashford, Thomas Deshotel, and Joe Mallett. Honorary pallbearers will be; Joshua Ashford, Zachary LeJeune, Spencer Stelly, Jance Prejean, Jonathan Rougeau and Dan LeJeune.
