James Allen Sheffield

JENNINGS Graveside services for Mr. James Allen Sheffield, 71, will be held at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, February 1, 2012 in the St. John the Evangelist Church Cemetery in Lacassine. Douglas I. Broyles will officiate. Funeral home visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 31, 2012. No visitation will be held Wednesday. Mr. Sheffield died at 2:58 a.m., Monday, January 30, 2012 at his residence in Iowa, LA. Native of Village Mills, Texas he was a resident of Lacassine 31 years moving there from Woodville, TX. He was a graduate of the Warren High School Class of 1958 in Warren, TX and was a retired truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Maryann McCormick Sheffield of Lacassine; one daughter, Jennifer Corbello Young of Lacassine; four sons, James Thomas Sheffield of Orange, TX, John Thomas Sheffield of Warren, TX, Christopher Jones of Warren, TX, Jesse Powers of Sulphur, LA; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Vivian and Mandy Elizabeth Laird Sheffield.
