Private funeral services for Mr. Jackie Istre, Jr., 48, of Roanoke, were held Sunday, May 14, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Miguez Funeral Home Chapel under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mr. Istre was employed as a deckhand in the oilfield. In his free time he enjoyed working on cars.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Judy Doucet Istre of Welsh; one son, Brandon Istre of Iota; one sister, Beverly Reed of Roanoke; one brother, Joey Istre of Long Beach, Mississippi and two grandchildren.

Mr. Istre was preceded in death by his father, Jackie Istre, Sr. and one son, Dillon Istre.
